Scenes
What the camera caught—and why it matters
Scenes are visual evidence of lived experience: photographs tied to a place, a moment, and a person who was there. A strong scene is not stock imagery—it is a record someone chose to hold up against forgetting or distortion.
We ask for context with every image. We publish scenes that are first-person or clearly attributed, respectful of the people shown, and offered as witness—not as clickbait. Submissions are reviewed before they go live.
If you have a photograph that tells a truth words struggle to hold, share a scene.
